Review Your Team’s Learning Activity

As a manager, you can review your team’s learning activity from the Learning screen in People or from the Teams & People tab in Dayforce Learning.

The side panel in the Teams & People tab lists the names of your direct reports and the learning groups that you manage.

Overview Screens

When you open the overview screen for your direct reports or for a learning group, you’re shown the following statistics:

  • Total completion %: The group’s percentage of completion for optional and required courses.
  • Topics completion %: The group’s percentage of completion for optional and required courses by topic.

The overview screen also includes a list of all direct reports or group members, which shows individual completion percentages for required and optional learning. If needed, you can filter the data on this screen to show details only for specific courses or topics.

Employee Detail Screens

Click the name of an employee in an overview screen or in the side panel to see more details about that employee’s activities. The employee details screen opens, which shows statistics and details sorted into three subtabs: Courses, Learning plans, and Events.

Courses

The following statistics:

  • Completed courses: The number of completed courses compared to the total number of assigned courses.
  • Required completion: The percentage of required courses that are completed.
  • Optional completion: The percentage of optional courses that are completed.
  • Time spent: The total time spent on all courses.

The following charts:

  • Monthly Views: Shows the number of views for courses each month.
  • Courses: Shows the percentage of courses in each status: Completed, In Progress, and Not Started.

A list of all assigned courses, which includes the following details:

  • Completion status
  • Deadline, if one is assigned
  • Whether the course is required

Learning Plans

The following statistics:

  • Completed learning plans: The number of completed learning plans compared to the total number of assigned learning plans.
  • Required completion: The percentage of required learning plans that are completed.
  • Optional completion: The percentage of optional learning plans that are completed.
  • Average completion: The average completion rate for learning items across all learning plans.

The following charts:

  • Total learning plans: Shows the total number of learning plans for the past year.
  • Learning plans: Shows the percentage of learning plans in each status: Completed, In Progress, and Not Started.

A list of all assigned learning plans, which includes the following details:

  • Completion status
  • Time spent on the learning plan
  • Start date
  • Completion date
  • Deadline, if one is assigned
  • Whether the learning plan is required

Events

The following statistics:

  • Total assigned events: The total number of assigned events.
  • Future sessions: The total number of assigned future sessions.
  • Completed sessions: The number of attended sessions.
  • Needs your enrollment: The number of events that require enrollment.

A list of all assigned events, which includes the following details:

  • Whether enrollment is completed for an event session
  • Completion status

Actions You Can Take in the Teams & People Tab

Depending on which screen you’re looking at in the Teams & People tab, you can take several actions.

Action What to Do
Search for specific employees or learning items Click the search icon () and then enter your search term.
Download the list of employees or learning items Click the download icon ().
Sort the list based on column values Click the sort icon () and then select the column that you’d like to sort by.
Filter the list based on status Click the Filters button, select the statuses that you want to filter for, and then click Confirm.
View certifications issued for items in the list Click the Focus mode button and select Certifications to switch from the default Learning view to the Certifications view.
View certification history and download a certificate With the focus mode set to Certifications, hover the cursor over a row in the list, and then click the see certification history icon (). A dialog box opens in which you can view the certification history. Click the download icon () to download a copy of the certificate, if available.
