Merge Courses That Are Available in Different Languages

- New Dayforce Learning -

If you have multiple courses that have the same content in different languages, you can merge them into a single course using an import in the Admin tab of Dayforce Learning. When you merge courses, the existing courses are archived, and the content is added to a new course with multiple languages.

Existing completion statuses and course assignments are carried over to the new merged course, allowing you to more accurately track and report on activity for the course.

Before You Begin: You need the course ID for each of the courses that you want to merge. You can click the download icon in the Learning > Courses screen of the Admin tab to download all course details, including course IDs. You also need to know the language used for each course that you’re merging.

To merge courses:

  1. Go to Dayforce Learning and click the Admin tab.
  2. In the Learning section of the side panel, click Courses.
  3. Click the merge courses icon (), which is located next to the Filter button.
  4. In the Merge courses dialog box, upload your data file.
  5. Important: It’s highly recommended that you download and use the import template provided in the Merge courses dialog box. The template includes instructions and hints that can help avoid parsing errors during the import.
