Manage Settings for Learning Content

- New Dayforce Learning -

To manage the setting for learning content:

  1. Go to Dayforce Learning and click the Admin tab.
  2. In the Learning section of the side panel, click Courses, Events, or Learning plans, depending on the learning content you want to update.
  3. Click the item in the list of existing content, and then, in the action menu (next to the Assign button), click Settings.
  4. Update the settings, as needed:

Course Settings

Available settings for courses
Course Setting Purpose
Open for self-enrollment Specifies whether learners can sign up for the course on their own, without a manager or administrator assigning them first. You can limit this setting to specific groups, if needed.
Open for manager-enrollment Specifies whether managers can assign the course to their employees and groups.
Issue credits after completion Specifies whether continuing professional development credits are automatically logged for learners when they complete the course. You can enter the credits earned as hours, units, or both, as needed. See Assign Continuing Professional Development Credits to Learning Content.
Issue certificate after completion Specifies whether a certificate is issued to learners when they complete the course. You can select a template for the certificate and set the expiry and renewal requirements, as needed.

Event Settings

Available settings for events
Event Setting Purpose
Open for manager-enrollment Specifies whether managers can assign the event to their employees and groups.
Event price Sets the price for the event, which is shown to the learner and their manager when they request enrollment. Enter the price and select the appropriate currency, if applicable.
Issue credits after completion Specifies whether continuing professional development credits are automatically logged for learners when they complete the event. Learning Plan Settings

Learning Plan Setting Purpose
Open for self-enrollment Specifies whether learners can sign up for the learning plan on their own, without a manager or administrator assigning them first. You can limit this setting to specific groups, if needed.
Issue certificate after completion Specifies whether a certificate is issued to learners when they complete the course. You can select a template for the certificate and set the expiry and renewal requirements, as needed.
Auto-assign another learning plan after completion Specifies whether learners are automatically assigned another learning plan when they complete this one. Select the learning plan and then configure the assignment settings, as needed.
