The first step you need to complete when you are creating a new integration in Integration Studio is to give the integration a name.

| Effective To | Date the integration is no longer effective. |
| Source Vendor | The application or company where the data resides and is retrieved to be used in your integration. Required field for inbound integrations. |
| Destination Vendor | The application or company that receives the data. Required field for outbound integrations. |
| Reference Code | A unique reference code (XrefCode) for this integration. Required field. |
The name and the reference code for each integration must be unique for each Dayforce environment.
The Effective From field is required, but the Effective To field can be left blank. These fields can be used together when you are transitioning from one vendor to another to ensure that the outdated integration stops and the new integration begins at the appropriate time.
