Integration Log

The Integration Log shows a view of all previous runs of integrations that you configure in Integration Studio.

Only integrations that meet the defined filter criteria are shown in the log. A maximum of 100 integrations is shown on a single page; you can use the navigation buttons above the Last Run By column header to flip between pages. The sorting and filters that you apply to the first page automatically get applied to subsequent pages.

Integration Log also shows a column called Transmitted Data Size which shows you the amount of data that was transmitted in each run of the integration. You can also view the size of the total data transmitted across all integration runs just below the Integration Log heading. This helps you keep track of how close you are to your data limit, because you will be billed for additional data usage.

To access the log from Integration Studio or Integration Dashboard, click the action icon for an integration, and then click View Log. If the Integration Log shows no integration runs, you might need to adjust the start date and end date using the Filters button.

Once in the Integration Log, you can view all child integrations of a selected split integration by clicking the action icon (three vertical dots) and selecting the View Batch Logs option.

You can also rerun an integration using the original source data by clicking the action icon beside the integration you want to rerun and then Relaunch Integration Run. This functionality is useful when you need to resend the data in an integration where the mapping or transmission steps failed. New source data is not retrieved when you use this option.

If the integration you want to rerun is split into batches, the entire integration is rerun.

To rerun only failed batches, you must click the action icon associated with the integration and then View Batch Logs. In the Integration Log screen, click the action icon associated with the failed integration batch and then Relaunch Integration Run.

By default, all instances of the selected integration started within the last week are shown. The Integration Log uses your local time zone.

You can apply additional filters to expand the results either to include additional integrations or to limit the results based on when the integration ran, who ran it, and its status. For example, if you want to see all integrations that ended in error status for the month of August, you could configure a filter like this:

Download Source and Destination Data

Role feature access: Integrations > Integration Studio > Download Source and Destination Data.

The Integration Log shows you the following options:

  • Download Source Data: Download a file containing the source data for an integration run before any transformations or mappings were applied to it.
  • Download Destination Data: Download a file containing the transformed data received by your vendor for an integration run.
  • Download Enriched Source Data: Download enriched source data for integrations that use the Event Driven HR Changes (Outbound from Dayforce) connector and are mapped to enriched fields.

When viewing integrations where data is sent to your vendor in a single export file, click the action icon (three vertical dots) at the right end of the integration and select the Download Source Data or Download Destination Data option.

When viewing split integrations, you can download only the source data file for the parent integration. To download data files for the child integrations, select the View Batch Logs option and click the action icon (three vertical dots) at the right end of the selected entry. Select the Download Source Data or Download Destination Data option to download a data file for the selected child integration.

If the requested data file is available for the selected integration run, then the application will show you a confirmation dialog box with the file name and file size.

Note that a requested data file might not be available for download if sufficient time has passed after the integration was run.
