Reflecting on your organization’s needs sets specific goals for your hub. For example, you might be focused on reducing questions fielded by your HR team, driving traffic to specific resources, or reducing the turnaround time for some processes. Ask yourself what the success of this project looks like.
Write down these goals and get guidance from your stakeholders on any tradeoffs that might exist. This step will help you drive alignment with stakeholders through the process and check that your designs will help you to meet these business outcomes.
Both qualitative and quantitative data can help assess how well you met your goals. Find any metrics that you can use as a before and after comparison. For example, consider the number of employee emails in a week, the amount of time spent responding to employee emails in a week, participation in events, or the number of late required actions. If gathering this data is manual, define a process early and a manageable time window that would account for any natural variations. Plan to repeat this process after release during a similar time window. Interpret the data only with the precision with which you gathered it.
