How Do I Complete or Update My Canadian TD1 Tax Witholding Forms?

In some organizations, you might select, complete, and sign income tax withholding forms (ITWFs) as part of the onboarding process. These forms withhold taxes for the jurisdiction where you reside or work, based on your financial needs. In Canada, you normally complete a TD1 form.

If these forms weren't part of your onboarding process, you can find the forms in Profile, in the Forms tab.

Depending on your organization, your form might need to be approved after you submit it, so the information might not be available in Dayforce immediately.

To complete a TD1 form:

1. Go to Profile and click the Forms tab.
2. The Forms tab is divided into several sections. Look for a Tax Forms section, then click the link to the federal or provincial form you need to complete.
3. Read the instructions on the form carefully before you enter your information in the fields. Fields marked with a red asterisk must be completed before you can submit the form.

   

4. Click Submit.
