You can view visualizations that users in your organization share with you. To view a shared visualization, you must have access to the report that the visualization is associated with and you must have access to the Application Container > Analyze Reports In PowerBI feature. Access to this feature is configured in the Features tab of System Admin > Roles.
To view a shared visualization:
- Go to the Ad Hoc Reports tab in Data & Analytics > Reporting & Analytics.
- In the toolstrip, click Refresh.
- Note: If you did not create a visualization of your own for this report, a pie graph icon is displayed beside the report that was shared with you when you refresh the page.
- Click the report that is associated with the visualization that was shared with you and then click Run.
- Click Visualize.
- In the Select Visualization dialog box, do one of the following:
- If you do not have a visualization of your own associated with the selected report, select the name of the employee that shared the visualization with you from the Created By drop-down and click OK. Optionally, you can create your own visualization by clicking the Create New Visualization button.
- If you have a visualization that is already associated with the selected the report, you can select the name of the employee that shared the visualization with you from the Created By drop-down and click OK. Or, you can choose to use your own visualization by clicking Use My Visualization.
- Click OK.
Note: A visualization that is shared with you automatically opens in view mode. You cannot edit or delete the visualization, because the Edit and Delete button are not enabled in this mode. However, you can create a copy of a visualization that was shared with you and edit your own copy.
