Before You Begin: You must have access to the Data & Analytics feature to import visualizations.
You can use the Import functionality to migrate a visualization from one environment to another as well as import a visualization that was created by another user.
To import a visualization:
Note: You can only import visualizations that were exported from Dayforce in PBIX format.
- Go to the Ad Hoc Reports tab in Data & Analytics > Reporting & Analytics.
- Click the report that you want to import the visualization to and then click Run.
- Click Visualize.
- In the toolstrip, click Import.
- Important: It is your responsibility to ensure that the file you are importing is from a trusted source. Failing to do this can result in a potential security breach.
- In the Import dialog box, click Select file and select the file you want to import.
- Select the Overwrite the existing visualization checkbox in the Consent section of the Import dialog box.
- Note: To import a visualization, the Overwrite the existing visualization checkbox must be selected. When selected, the imported file overwrites the existing visualization. The overwritten visualization cannot be retrieved after you import a visualization.
- Click Import.
- Note: The Import button is enabled after you select the Overwrite the existing visualization checkbox. When the checkbox isn't selected, the Import button is grayed out.
