Control User Access to Dashboard Groups and Data Sources

The Access Control component of Dashboards Setup enables administrators to control user access to data sources and dashboard groups.

Note: The Dashboards feature respects users’ access to locations, which is configured in System Admin > User. Users can see data only from the locations that they have access to in other parts of Dayforce, even if they have full access to Data Sources and Dashboard Groups. See User Configuration in the Dayforce Implementation Guide.

To set access control permissions:

  1. Go to Reporting and Analytics > Dashboards > Dashboards Setup.
  2. In the Dashboards Admin section, click Access Control.
  3. Dashboards - Admin section of the screen.
  4. Dayforce shows a list of roles with a Data Sources link and a Dashboards Groups link next to each role name.
  5. Click the Data Sources link next to the role you want to set access for.
  6. Select the checkboxes beside the data sources that the role should have access to, and clear the checkboxes to remove access.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Click the Dashboard Groups link for the role that you want to set access for.
  9. Select the checkboxes beside the dashboard groups that the role should have access to, and clear the checkboxes to remove access.
  10. Click Save.
