After you have configured user role access to dashboard groups, you need to configure access to the Dashboards feature and its components by assigning the appropriate role features and access authorizations. The sections below outline the recommended features and access authorizations that you should set up for each of the groups of user roles that were defined in Determine Which User Roles Need Which Type of Access.
Dashboard Authors
For dashboard authors, select the Dashboards and View Builder feature checkboxes in the Features tab in System Admin > Roles:
Dashboards authors need all permissions for all of the Dashboards access authorizations in the Authorizations tab in System Admin > Roles:
Special Admin Users
For special admin users (including HR admins, payroll admins, recruiting admins, and benefit admins), select only the Dashboards feature checkboxes in the Features tab in System Admin > Roles:
Special admin users only need to have Can Read permissions for all Dashboards access authorizations in the Authorizations tab in System Admin > Roles:
Managers
For managers, select only the Dashboards checkboxes in the Features tab in System Admin > Roles:
Managers only need to have Can Read permissions for all Dashboards access authorizations in the Authorizations tab in System Admin > Roles:
