Additional ConnectedPay Parameters

The following information contains parameters that you, the implementation team, and the Dayforce product team can set in your ConnectedPay payroll.

ConnectedPay Integration - HR Export or Reports, Employee Payroll Elections Export or Reports, and the GPRI

The HR export file is integrated in Dayforce during the implementation process and is scheduled to be sent automatically to your ICP, usually daily. This file contains the employee data that the ICP needs to process your payroll. You can export this data by using Dayforce Link or the API. If you use Dayforce Link to export this data, the data is sent in the HR export, but if you use the API to export the data, this data is sent by using reports, which are sent either daily or several times by the date when the ICP must receive all of the necessary data.

In addition to the HR export file or reports, the implementation team sets up the employee-payroll-elections export file. If you use Dayforce Link to export employee payroll elections, the data is sent in the employee-payroll-elections export file, but if you use the API, the data is sent by using reports.

See ConnectedPay Integration Error Handling Process.

The implementation team also sets up the GPRI in Dayforce. The GPRI is the file that the ICP uses to transmit the payroll data to you from their system to Dayforce. The ICP sends the GPRI to you for you to review and approve or reject each payroll.

Country-Specific Fields

The implementation team will configure country-specific employee properties, status reason codes, confidential information, and other Dayforce fields, according to the data dictionary for the country that provides the standard definitions of the data elements, their meanings, and allowable values. The implementation team will provide this guide to you as a reference guide for a detailed explanation of the ConnectedPay requirements.

Country-Specific Forms

When you work with ConnectedPay, you must submit employee data that your country requires into Dayforce by completing various forms. During the implementation process, the implementation team uses a country-specific forms guide to configure the different forms for each country. This document includes the forms for updating employee HR information in Dayforce so that the ICP can process your payroll. The implementation team will provide all country-specific forms guides to you as reference guides for a detailed explanation of the fields on the form.

Geo Locations

Your country and its respective states or provinces are set as geo locations in Dayforce. To confirm that the countries and states are configured as geo locations in Dayforce, you can go to System Admin > Geo Locations.

Legal Entity

The implementation team configures each legal entity for every country in your ConnectedPay payroll to ensure that the GPRI is imported in Dayforce without errors. To configure each legal entity, they select your legal entity in Org Setup > Org Payroll Setup > Legal Entity, and in the No Back Office column, they set the value to Yes.

Periodic Salary

During the implementation process, the periodic salary is added to Dayforce and is enabled for the roles that require access to salary information. To ensure that certain roles have access to salary information, you can go to System Admin > Roles. Be sure to select the role that you want to grant access to salary information and click the Features tab. You can scroll down to find the Periodic Salary checkbox and select it.

Tax Codes

The Dayforce product team sets up country tax codes in Dayforce and directly configures these codes in the database. If new tax codes must be added to maintain compliance, the ICP must submit a request to the product team. You don't need to manually enter tax codes.

Throttle Policy

If you use the API to export the employee data to the ICP, a throttle policy is added to your Dayforce database. The policy is added by using a script.
