Depending on how the cycle is configured, compensation worksheets show one of the following in the Performance Rating column:
- N/A: If the compensation cycle was configured not to include performance ratings, the Performance Rating column shows N/A.
- Rating value or review form link: If the compensation cycle was configured to include ratings from review cycles, the column shows the employee’s most recent review rating, or a link to their most recent review form.
- Note: If an employee’s rating is updated during a performance calibration session, their new rating is reflected in the worksheet.
- Drop-down list: If the compensation cycle was configured to allow managers to enter ratings directly in the worksheet, the column shows a drop-down list with the available rating options for each employee.
- You can select an option in the drop-down list to assign that rating to the employee. Dayforce updates the charts and calculations in the worksheet to reflect the selected performance rating.
- Note: The performance rating options shown in the drop-down list depend on the rating scale selected for the compensation cycle during configuration.
When performance ratings are enabled for a compensation cycle configured in the Performance section of the Details tab in Compensation Setup > Compensation Cycles, Dayforce shows performance information in manager worksheets.
If the compensation cycle is configured to retrieve ratings from performance review cycles (that is, if Include from Selected Review Cycles is selected in the Rating drop-down list), and the compensation cycle is linked to a performance cycle, Dayforce shows a review form link in the Performance Rating column.
- If an employee’s performance review has a rating available, the worksheet shows the employee’s rating in the Performance Rating column.
- If a rating isn’t available, the worksheet shows Review Form as a link. This link is shown only for users who have access to the Performance module.
When you click the Review Form link, Dayforce opens the employee’s performance review form. What you can see in the review form depends on your access:
- Managers of the employee can view the full review form, including the average rating and the detailed breakdown of the review.
- Compensation administrators who aren’t performance administrators and aren’t the employee’s manager can view the average rating only. The detailed breakdown isn’t available.
Performance administrator authority is assigned by location in the employee record. To assign this authority:
- Go to People, open the employee profile, and click Work > Management Assignments.
- In the Managed Locations section, click Add.
- In the Managed Location drop-down list, select the location.
- In the Authority Type drop-down list, select Performance Admin.
- Click Save.
