The Rounding Rules feature helps you define rules to round compensation values for employees in your organization’s compensation cycle. This includes salary increase allocations, bonus payouts, bonus eligible salaries, proration factors, and equity allocations.
You can configure rounding rules for three rule types: Cash, Quantity, and Percentage. For example, you can define a Cash rounding rule with a rounding basis of Employee Currency to round a salary increase allocation of $2,446.75 to a rounded value based on the increment and method. Dayforce rounds the amount to $2,000 when you set the rounding increment to 500 and the rounding method to Round Down.

After you define rounding rules, you can assign them to compensation plans or to pay components in compensation cycles. Dayforce applies the selected rounding rules across compensation worksheets, budgets, exports, reports, and reward letters. You can round values to specific cash amounts, equity quantities, or percentage precision depending on the rule type and pay component.
