In Centralized Schedules, you can generate schedules for your location using predefined shift rotations. For example, you could have three shift rotations available to your organization:
- Evenings: Five shifts in a row scheduled from 4:00 PM to 10:30 PM, followed by two days off.
- Days: Five shifts in a row scheduled from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, followed by two days off.
- Weekends: Two shifts in a row scheduled from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, followed by five days off.
When generating schedules, you can make a schedule based on all or some of these shift rotations, and for all or some of your location's zones or jobs. For example, you could schedule a shift rotation for just the customer service zone. When you do, Dayforce schedules every customer service employee who is assigned to the selected shift rotation.
Before You Begin: You can use this functionality only in the single week view. Additionally, you must configure shift rotations in Scheduling Plan > Shift Setup, in the Shift Rotation tab, and then assign employees to shift rotations in People, in the Employment > Employment Settings screen. If you're unsure of which shift rotations to use, or don't have any available, contact your system administrator.
