Mass Edit wizard screens

Screen Description
Edit Shift Details

The Identify Shift for Mass Edit section contains filters that you can use to specify the shifts that you want to edit. You can identify shifts by the day of the week that they're scheduled, their start time, end time, or both.

In the Edit Shift Details section, use the fields to edit the identified shifts' start and end times. This section contains a checkbox called Auto adjust meal and break times. If you select the checkbox, Dayforce adjust the shifts' meal and break times based on your edits to the start and end times.

Edit Segment Details

The Identify Segments for Mass Edit section contains filters that you can use to identify the segments that you want to edit. You can identify segments by day, by the segments' start and end times, or other details like job assignment, docket, or pay code.

In the Edit Segment Details section, you can enter the new details for the segments that you want to edit. This screen also contains the Auto adjust meal and break times checkbox, which is described above.

For example, you can use the Identify Segments for Mass Edit section to search for segments from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the Sales job assignment. Then, using the settings in the Edit Segment Details section, you can edit these segments so that they end at 3:00 PM instead of 2:00 PM.

Add Segment Details

The Identify Shift for Mass Edit section contains filters that you can use to identify shifts that you want to add segments to. These filters are the same as in the Edit Shift Details screen, which is described above.

In the Add Segment Details section, you can enter the new segment's details. You can specify the segment's start time and end time, and the job assignment, docket, and pay code associated with the segment.

For example, you can use the Identify Shift for Mass Edit section to search for shifts on Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Then, you can add segments to those shifts using the settings in the Add Segment Details section.

Add Unfilled Shift In this screen, you can add unfilled shifts. You can configure details like start time, end time, pay code, and the day of the week to schedule the unfilled shift.

After you enter the shift or segment details, you can review your changes in the Review and Complete screen of the Mass Edit wizard. Click Previous to edit any information on this screen.

Accepted and Rejected tabs in the Mass Edit wizard.

In the Review and Complete screen, the Accepted tab lists accepted shift or segment changes. For each shift or segment, it shows the name of the employee scheduled to work, the date, and details. The Rejected tab shows information on rejected shifts or segments: employee names, shift dates and times, and reasons.
