Career Explorer for Employees

The Career Explorer feature helps you find opportunities for your personal and career growth. You can build career plans to help strengthen your current skills or develop new skills required for specific job assignments in the organization. Your manager also has access to these plans, which makes it easier for them to review your progress and provide guidance to help you complete your goals.

When you go to Career Explorer for the first time, you're asked to review your career profile to make sure that it's accurate. Recommendations in Career Explorer are based on your skills from this profile. Keeping your profile up to date in the Career > Overview tab of the Profile feature ensures that the opportunities provided in Career Explorer are relevant and useful.

When you return to Career Explorer after the first visit, you’re shown the Career Explorer home page where you can add or update your skills, explore opportunities, and build and manage career plans.

Career Explorer on the Dayforce Mobile App

Depending on configuration, the Career Explorer feature might also be available on the Dayforce Mobile app. If you have access to the feature, you can open it in Careers by tapping Career Explorer in the context menu.

The Mobile version of Career Explorer provides you with the same experience as the desktop version but gives you the flexibility to explore opportunities and work on your career goals while on the go.
