View and Change Home Page or Subpage Settings

To view or change the settings for a hub or subpage:

  1. In a home page or subpage in Edit mode, click Settings.
  2. Home page settings:

    Settings dialog box.

    Subpage settings:

    subpage settings.

  3. In the Settings dialog box, you can set or change the following options:
    • Name: The name of the home page or subpage as it appears in the left navigation area of the Hub Setup window. For home pages, the name you choose only appears in the left navigation. If you have subpages it doesn’t appear in the top navigation. If subpages exist, the hub is renamed in the top navigation to “Home.” When you update and save changes, Dayforce creates a draft page for home pages and subpages accordingly.
    • Description: The description of the hub or subpage. When you update and save changes to this field, Dayforce immediately updates its draft and published hub pages.
    • Appearance: For home pages, select an appearance for the hub in the drop-down list. Dayforce doesn’t save a draft page when you save changes to this field. Changes take effect immediately. Also, the application updates the preview when you change the appearance.
    • Greeting: (Optional) Click Insert Token and select a token in the drop-down list to configure a greeting, or configure a greeting with no tokens. The character limit is 100 for customized text.
    • Visibility: For subpages, this indicates whether the page appears in the Dayforce Web app, Mobile app, or both. Dayforce creates a draft page when you save changes to this field.
    • Page Audiences: For subpages, optionally, select one or more audiences in the drop-down list to associate your page to so that you can manage your pages more efficiently, and ensure that you can tailor to different audiences within one hub. When you update and save changes to an audience, the application immediately assigns the audience to the draft and published hub pages.
    • Note: If you update the audience for a page that is linked to another page, Dayforce displays a warning message stating that this update can impact who can access the link to this page, and lists the affected pages.
  4. Click Save.
