The Favorites widget provides a quick and easy way for employees to access the six features that they use most frequently for each assigned role. Experience Hub displays favorite features based on the employee’s role, as displayed on the Home screen. If employees have multiple roles, each of which have different favorite features configured, Dayforce displays the applicable Favorites based on the hub and user role they log in with. The widget respects employees’ current role feature access to the features they select for the Favorites widget on the Home screen.
When employees click the Edit button in the Favorites widget, Dayforce opens the Change Home Favorite Links dialog box to allow them to edit their favorite features. When users edit their favorite features and click Save, Dayforce instantly updates the Favorites widget.
The following details are included in the Favorites configuration dialog box in Hub Designer:
- Title: The default title is Favorites, but you can change it.
- Visibility: Visibility is web only for the Favorites widget. The Mobile apps incorporates the favorites concept into the overall app navigation and favorites are defined at the end user level.
- Sample favorites: Dayforce displays the following sample favorite features after you save the widget: Profile, Timesheet, Time Away List, Benefits, Performance, Earnings. The sample favorite features are for viewing purposes only and don’t work in Hub Designer. In addition, Dayforce displays the icon style using the accent color that you specified for the appearance for the chosen hub.
- Note: Employee data that Dayforce shows in Hub Designer is sample data, to give you an idea of what the finished widget will look like.
