Configure Data Insights

You can see the list of available measures when configuring the Data Insights widget regardless of your access to the Measures feature. You can add a maximum of four cards to a widget. Note that the employee data that Dayforce shows in Hub Designer as you configure the widget is sample data, to give you an idea of what the finished widget will look like.

To configure the Data Insights widget:

  1. In Hub Designer, select a home page, or subpage in the Hubs tab, in a section, click + Add Widget.
  2. In the drop-down list, click Data Insights. Dayforce shows the Data Insights dialog box.
  3. The Title field is at the top left of the dialog box. You can leave it as Data Insights (the default) or change it as needed.
  4. Visibility is Web only for the Data Insights widget.
  5. Click + Add Card.
  6. Specify the following details for the widget:
  • Measures card:
    • Data source: Measures.
    • Measure: Select a measure from the drop-down list.
    • Card title: Dayforce populates this field with the Measure name, but the field can be edited.
    • Timespan: Monthly, Quarterly or Yearly.
    • Primary data point: Current Value or Change in Value. Change in Value shows the increase or decrease since the previous period.
    • (Optional) Secondary data point: The drop-down only shows Current Value or Change in Value depending on what you selected for the primary data point.
    • (Optional) Enter a short description.
  • KPI Planning card:
    • Data source: KPI Planning.
    • KPI: Select a KPI from the drop-down list.
    • Forma: Select a forma from the drop-down list.
    • Time period: Day or Week.
    • Card title: Dayforce populates this field with the KPI Planning name, but the field can be edited.
    • (Optional) Enter a short description.
  1. (Optional) To add more cards, repeat step 6.
  2. Click OK to save the widget.
