You can add multiple instances of the same entity to your report's dataset as long as each instance has different joins to the existing data. Further, each instance of the entity must have a unique name. You can change the default name in the Add Field dialog box when you’re adding the entity to the dataset. You can also edit it later, by hovering the cursor over the entity name and clicking the edit icon to open the Edit Entity dialog box:
Note: System entity names are reserved. If you change the entity display name to be the same as an existing entity, Dayforce displays an error message and you have to enter a different name.
In this dialog box, you can view the original name and description of the entity, and update the Display Name field. You can also click Remove Entity to remove it from the report's dataset.
