You can remove any data entity from the report except for the primary entity, which is labeled as such. The screenshot below shows the PRIMARY label next to the Employee entity:
To remove the entity from the report, hover the cursor over the entity name and then click the X:
When you click the X, Dayforce removes all of the entity’s fields from the report’s columns, filters, and totals. Dayforce also removes other entities if they’re dependent on a join with the entity you’re removing. When you click the X, a dialog box opens to inform you which other entities are going to be deleted and prompt you to confirm that you want to delete the associated entities as well.
Important: Dayforce doesn’t perform a validation on custom fields. Custom fields won't work if they use fields from the entities you've deleted. You need to check custom fields to make sure that they don’t include fields from the entities you deleted.
If you remove entities from a report that is based on a topic, the report becomes detached from the topic. Dayforce displays an asterisk next to its topic name in the list of reports in Reporting and Analytics > Reporting > Classic Reports.
