The HR Profile - Direct and Indirect Employees Included topic contains detailed employee personal and work information that you can use to get accurate head counts and lists of employees. This topic is similar to the HR Profile - As of Date topic, with a different security model that allows you to include both your direct reports and your indirect reports or those who are under your direct reports in the organization chart.
By default, reports based on this topic contain employees who are currently your direct or indirect reports. You can use the As of Date parameter to report on employees who reported to you as of a previous date.
This topic contains the Included Group of Employees parameter, which allows you to specify which employees are included in the report output. Users can select one or more of the following options when they run or schedule reports that contain this parameter:
- Direct only: Report data is filtered to only include employees who report to you directly.
- Indirect only: Report data is filtered to only include employees who report to you indirectly.
- Location and Job Assignment Access: Report includes data for all employees that you have access to.
By default, the two values Direct Only and Indirect Only are selected. You can update the default values in the Parameters tab of the Filters and Parameters dialog box in the report designer. You can also make the parameter not editable so that users can't change this option when they run, schedule, or preview the report.
