Find Duplicate Records in Reports

You can identify duplicate records in a report in the report designer. This functionality applies only to V2 reports that contain the Employee entity.

To find duplicate records:

  1. Click Find Duplicates in the report designer toolstrip. If Dayforce finds no duplicate records, you will receive a notification.
  2. If the report is missing required filters or parameters, a slide-out panel opens. Enter the required information and click Find Duplicates in the panel.

If your report contains duplicate records, the report preview highlights the fields and entities that contain the duplicate entries. You can click any highlighted duplicate field in the report preview to open the Remove Duplicates panel, which shows you the best practices to remove the duplicate records.

Duplicate records will be highlighted only in report previews, not the output. Reports can include duplicate records used in Relationships and Filtering, even if these duplicates aren’t shown as fields in the report. In such cases, Dayforce highlights only the entities that contain duplicate entries.
