Add Localizations for a Column Name and Description

You can add localizations for a column's field name and description so that Dayforce can display these items according to users' language and culture settings.

To add a localization for a field name and description:

  1. Go to Reporting and Analytics > Reporting > Reports and open the report that contains the field you want to localize.
  2. Click the field name in the report designer to open the column details slide-out panel.
  3. Click Localize.
  4. In the Localize panel, click Add a translation.
  5. Select the language that you want to create a localization for in the Select a language drop-down list.
  6. Enter the display name to be used for the selected language.
  7. Enter the description to be used for the selected language.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Click Apply.

You can add a localization for each language available in your Dayforce instance. The localized names and descriptions that you configure are shown when people use Dayforce in the associated languages.

When you remove a column from the report, the localizations that you configured will also be removed.
