Use the Troubleshooting Resources page to access information and tools to help you determine why data loads are failing. The page has the following sections:
Customer Dayforce Information
This section provides the following information about the configuration:
- Application Version
- Database Version
- Database Server Name
- Database Name
- Import Directory
The Application Version and the database version must match for Activate to run correctly. If these versions are different, use the Implementation Toolbox to upgrade the database.
Customer-Mapping Templates
This section includes links to the following templates containing mapping information for the configuration.

Data Load Troubleshooting
The Activate Troubleshooting Wiki link opens the Activate Troubleshooting wiki page, where you can access articles that might help you resolve your issue.
Note: This wiki is only available to Dayforce customers.
Recent Exceptions
This section lists the errors that Activate has experienced internal to the tool or received from Dayforce, including:
- Number (#): The exceptions are listed in chronological order, with the most recent exception at the top.
- Error Date
- User name: The name of the user who experienced the error.
- Exception Message: Includes the full exception stack trace information.
Exception messages aren’t always helpful at first glance.

Tasks
To access the Troubleshooting Resources:
In the Profile menu (), click Troubleshooting Resources.
To download a template:
- In the Customer Mapping Templates section, select the template name.
- Save the template to your computer.
To troubleshoot errors:
- If the most recent error is related to the Import error, go to the Configuration Validation Tool and run a query.
- If the most recent error is related to a data load, follow the message on the page to resolve it.
There are two types of error messages:
- Activate Exception/Error
- Dayforce Exception/Error
