Employment Statuses

In Dayforce, the Employment Status is a part of the employee profile that categorizes employees into groups based on if they’re available to work. Activate requires you to map the status codes into Active, Inactive, and Terminated categories.

You must map the different Employment Statuses into Active, Inactive, and Terminated categories. These categories have implications on how Activate configures Dayforce and assigns employees to various attributes.

The statuses populated in the Employee file show on this page. Activate assigns the uploaded statuses to the categories automatically if the statuses provided are commonly named.

You can drag the items to different categories, as needed. Items that aren’t assigned to a category are shown in the Uncategorized category. You can filter the Uncategorized category to search for more categories.

Before you begin

Complete the Pay Types page.
