Overview of the Change Employee Data Wizards

The Change Employee Data wizards are the most often used wizards in Activate. These wizards offer the ability to make mass changes to employee profile data like policy assignments, role assignments, and employee properties. You can use a filter to select a subgroup of employees that you want to make the changes for.

For example, in your filter, you can select all part-time employees at a specific location who are assigned to a specific legal entity. Then, you can view a data grid containing a column that shows their entitlement policy. You can then assign all employees in the grid to their respective entitlement policies and apply the mass update.

Or, if you use the Entitlement Policies wizard to create a new entitlement policy and want to map a 1,000 employees to the new policy, you can do this with the following steps.

The Change Employee Data wizards generate an HR Import file that’s loaded in the Dayforce preproduction environment. If you want to apply the same change in the Production environment, you can copy the newly generated HR Import file from the preproduction environment's file server. Then, move it to the Production Dayforce environment file server (in the Import/HR Import folder).

Tasks

To access the Load Your Data wizards:

1. In your browser, enter https://activate.dayforcehcm.com.
2. Complete the following fields:
   • Company name
   • User name
   • Password
3. Click Login.
4. In the Profile menu (),Quit Progress & Go Back to Central.

   The Activate Central page opens with a flashing blue icon () next to the Load Your Data section to indicate that this is the current task.

5. Click Change Employee Data and the Change Employee Data wizards show.
6. Select the wizard that you want to complete.
