Activate Selections Reports

After you install policies in the Entitlement Policies, Pay Policies, and/or Time Entry Policies wizards, you can use the Activate Selections reports to review and compare the answers across several installed policies. This information is helpful when you need to refer back to your answers in a policy that has already been installed. It’s also helpful if there’s uncertainty about how Activate configured the policy in Dayforce. Reviewing the responses to the questions in each wizard helps you understand how Activate applied the configuration in Dayforce.

The Activate Selections reports are available for the following wizards:

Note: The Activate Selections reports reflect the selections made in Activate. If you use an Activate wizard to install configuration in Dayforce and then go directly into Dayforce and make changes, those changes aren’t reflected in the Selections report.

The Activate Selections reports give a snapshot of the selections made in the wizard. For example, information on the reports include:

  • Report generation date
  • Environment name (Stage/Config/Train)
  • Policy names
  • Policy descriptions
  • Dayforce installation date
  • Date and time policies were installed
  • Login ID of the user who last changed the answers
  • The questions that were presented in the wizard
  • The answers given for the questions

Task

To access a selections report:

  1. In Build Dayforce, complete any of the following wizards:
  2. When the installation finishes and you return to Activate Central, in the Build Dayforce section, click View Activate Selections under the wizard name.

    Note: This link shows only when the wizard has been completed and the configuration is installed in Dayforce.

    The Excel report is downloaded to your computer.

  3. Save the report to the appropriate location on your computer, if wanted.
  4. Open the report and review the information.
