Updated the Dayforce payroll engine to calculate statutory and occupational shared parental leave payments. Previously, manual quick entries were used to pay employees on shared parental leave. Now, the Average Weekly Earnings (AWE) calculation determines the employee’s eligibility and payment amounts, and the payments are processed when you calculate a pay run.

When a shared parental leave absence record is added in the Leave Management screen in People, the AWE calculation runs and populates the following fields:

  • Qualifying Week
  • On Payroll in the Qualifying Week
  • Has Enough Service

For more information about these fields, see HR-39918.

For more information about configuring statutory parental pay, see Overview of Statutory Parental Pay for UK Employees in the Payroll Administrator Guide.

Updated the Quick Entry subtab in Payroll > Pay Run Management and Payroll > Data Entry to add the ability to process student loan refunds using quick entries. This functionality applies to employees without an active student loan record. Previously, if the employee didn't have an active student loan record in the Payroll > Tax Definitions screen in People, the amount in the quick entry was automatically set to zero and a warning message was shown. Now, the amount in the quick entry is refunded in the pay run and reported in the Full Payment Submission (FPS) file.
