Added the ability to identify health plans that offer minimum essential coverage but don’t provide minimum value to the employee, spouse, or dependents. To support this feature, the ACA Below Minimum Value checkbox was added to the General tab of Benefits Setup > Plans and Options for health plans. This checkbox identifies plans that either cover less than 60% of total benefit costs or don’t include inpatient hospitalization and physician services. These plans are included in compliance reports based on the 6055/6056 ACA Reporting Requirements. Dayforce shows an error if you select both the Subject to ACA Reporting and ACA Below Minimum Value checkboxes when configuring plans. In PPACA > Year End Process, when generating year-end data using the auto-fill task, Dayforce assigns the Code 1F to employees enrolled in plans that are below the minimum value for the full month. As part of this update, Dayforce shows a warning message when Codes 1E or 1F are assigned for a given month and the safe harbor code is missing for that same month on the employee’s 1095-C form. |
