Added the ability to import rates when plan option rates change. To support this feature, the Import Rates button was added in Benefits Setup > Plans and Options to import the option rate details. You can import rates for multiple qualifiers in the same rates record, including Carrier Rate, Employer Cost or Percent, and Employee Cost or Percent, with values up to a maximum of five decimal places. Import files must be in the CSV format. After the import, Dayforce automatically runs the Benefits Option Rates Import background job and end-dates the previous rate record to one day before the new rate’s effective from date. You can also import option rates using a file specification that supports both CSV and XML formats. For more information, see the Dayforce Benefit Option Rate Import Specification document. As part of this update, the Reference Code field was added in Benefits Setup > Eligibility for the following qualifier types:
You can update the reference code for existing qualifiers. Enter a reference code if the qualifier needs to be included for rate imports. See Import Option Rates in the Benefits Administration Guide. | |||||
Updated Benefits Setup > Eligibility for Employee Qualifiers to include minimum and maximum values for the full-time equivalent ratio in eligibility qualifiers. To support this update, the Min FT Equivalent Ratio and Max FT Equivalent Ratio fields were added in the Compensation Information section. These fields show when you select the Enable FTE Proration checkbox in System Admin > Client Properties, in the Position Management section. The full-time equivalent ratio is calculated using the following formula: FT Equivalent Ratio = Normal Weekly Hours / FT Weekly Hours An employee meets eligibility if their full-time equivalent ratio in the employee profile on the effective date is as follows:
You can use the Eligibility Test Tool in Benefits Setup > Eligibility to confirm that the Employee Qualifier is working for a specific employee. If the Enable FTE Proration client property isn’t enabled, Dayforce ignores eligibility based on the Min FT Equivalent Ratio and Max FT Equivalent Ratio values. Example: A plan option uses the Employee Qualifier with the following settings:
In the Employment > Employment Settings screen in People, in the Employment Status tab, an employee, John, has the following values:
John is eligible for the plan option starting March 1, 2025, because their full-time equivalent ratio of 0.5 falls within the minimum (0.25) and maximum (0.85) values. John isn’t eligible during February 2025 because their full-time equivalent ratio of 0.9 exceeds the maximum value. See Employee Qualifier in the Benefits Administration Guide. |
