Added the ability to delay the tax locator process when you run the HR Import or make employee updates using the RESTful API. Previously, you could prevent the tax locator from running when you ran the HR Import. Now, you can also delay the tax locator process. To support this functionality, the Disable Tax Locator for HR related imports client property has been updated from a checkbox to a drop-down list and renamed to Tax Locator Behavior. The Tax Locator Behavior drop-down list has the following options:
If you had the Disable Tax Locator for HR related imports client property selected previously, the Tax Locator Behavior field is set to Disable. If you didn’t have the Disable Tax Locator for HR related imports client property selected previously, the Tax Locator Behavior field is set to Default.

HR Import 1.0 and Data Mapping 1.0 have been retired as of Dayforce Release 2025.1.0. All customers using the old version have been migrated to the new HR Import 2.0 and Data Mapping 2.0 functionality. As part of this update, the HR Import/HR Recruiting and Data Mapping Version client property, which previously allowed you to select the version of HR import and data mapping that you wanted to use, has been removed from the Properties tab in System Admin > Client Properties. In addition, the “Deprecated and Moved Entities and Tokens” section was added to the HR Import Interface Specification document to indicate which entities and tokens are no longer supported now that all customers are using HR Import 2.0. See the HR Import Interface Specification document on the Help Portal. For information about how 2.0 differs from 1.0, see the HR Import 2.0 and Data Mapping 2.0 Guide on the Help Portal.
Re-introduced improved security of system notifications that are sent to employees when their personal information is updated. This update was removed in a previous version of Dayforce. Previously, the Personal Information Change notification was sent to subscribed users when changes were made to any of the following details in the employee’s record:
Now, the Personal Information Change notification only triggers when changes are made to an employee’s name, address, SSN/SIN/National ID Number, or birth date. The other changes have been moved to the following new notifications:
In addition, users can’t subscribe to the Personal Change Notification anymore, nor can they subscribe to any of the new notifications. Instead, these notifications are sent only to the employee affected by the change, thereby helping to ensure that employee information and details stay private. By default, these notifications are sent to the affected employee’s Message Center and email address. You can modify whether the notifications are sent to your email address, but you can’t modify whether they are sent to Message Center. Administrators can modify where the notifications are sent in System Admin > System Notifications in the Channels tab. |
