Updated error messages for Mobile and Web - Life Event Enrollments with restrictions:

Updated mobile and web enrollments to show dependents with the Expired or Denied dependent verification status on the Dependent Information screen. You can now select these dependents for coverage in the plan option. After you submit the enrollment, the Dependent Verification Required banner shows to start the verification process.

Benefits Administration

In the Benefits > Dependents and Beneficiaries screen in People, the verification status for dependents shows Pending instead of Expired or Denied. In the Benefits > Benefit Enrollments screen in People, the enrollment status shows Pending.

Updated mobile and web enrollments to allow an employee’s spouse to be both a dependent and beneficiary (primary and contingent). This update applies to life and disability plans with the Accident Insurance and Critical Illness plan subtypes. Additionally, Dayforce also checks the following settings in Benefits Setup > Plan and Options:

  • In the Tiers tab for the plan, either the Employee & Spouse/Legal Partner tier or the Employee & 1 Dependent tier is selected.
  • In the General tab for the plan option, the Primary Only or Primary and Contingent option is selected in the Beneficiaries drop-down list.
  • In the Participant Definition tab for the plan option, the Allow Spouse to Enroll or Allow Legal Partner to Enroll checkbox is selected, with a maximum of two participants.
