HR-34226, HR-34227, HR-34229

Added the ability to link periods of shared parental leave for employees in UK pay groups. Linking periods of shared parental leave can help administrators track how much leave has been taken and how much is left.

Linking creates a direct association between multiple leave periods. When you select an existing shared parental leave record, the Add button in the toolstrip becomes expandable with an option for linking another shared parental leave record to the selected leave record:

Add drop-down list options for linked shared parental leave.

The Reason drop-down list shows Shared Parental Leave as the only option for linking a record to an existing shared parental leave record:

Reason drop-down list shows that Shared Parental Leave is the only option available.

You can’t link other types of leave to a shared parental leave record.

When you link a new parental leave record to an existing parental leave record, the Partner Information fields are filled out automatically with the values from the original record.

After you add a linked record, a link icon is shown in the Reason column for both the original and linked record. You can hover over the icon to view a tooltip with more details:

Tooltip for linked neonatal care leave records.

You can link more shared leave records to the original leave record, as needed. You can’t link shared parental leave periods using the Request Leave of Absence form. For more information, see UK Leave Requests in the Manager Guide.

HR-34452, HR-34453, HR-34454, HR-34462, HR-34521, HR-34522, HR-39557, HR-40406

Added the ability for employees in UK pay groups to request neonatal care leaves. To support this functionality, the Neonatal Care Leave option was added to the Reason drop-down list in the following locations:

  • The Leave Management screen of People
  • The Request Leave of Absence form

Functionality was also added to the Leave Management screen to link periods of neonatal care leave. Linking creates a direct association between multiple leave periods. When you select an existing neonatal care leave record, the Add button in the toolstrip becomes expandable with options for linking a record to the selected leave record or creating a regular (non-linked) record:

Add drop-down list options for linked neonatal care leave.

After you add a linked record, a link icon is shown in the Reason column for both the original and linked record. You can hover over the icon to view a tooltip with more details:

The ability to link a period of neonatal care leave to an existing neonatal care leave period can be done only in the Leave Management screen of People and not in the form. For more information, see UK Leave Requests in the Manager Guide.
