Added an error message that shows when a report returns an incorrect or mismatched data type in Analytics Data Connector (ADC) API calls. Now, if an ADC request fails, an error message shows in the Job Logs tab in System Admin > Background Jobs.

To view the error message:

  1. Go to the Job Logs tab in System Admin > Background Jobs.
  2. Remove Render ad hoc report on demand from the Task Type field by clicking X next to the tag.
  3. Click Apply Filter.
  4. Click the job in the Job Logs section to expand it
  5. Review the error message in the Error Information or Job Information sections of the expanded job log.

The error message gives you details on what you need to correct in the Custom Field Editor in Reporting and Analytics > Reporting > Reports for the custom report you made the request for. You can make the updates in the Custom Field Editor for the report and rerun the report request in Analytics Data Connector to make sure you return accurate results.
