Dayforce Release Notes version 2025.1.0

R2025.1.0

DCP-2482

Improved the ability for Co-Pilot to recognize when employees need help from someone in their HR department so that it can help them get assistance. Previously, Co-Pilot showed employees how to contact their HR team only after they provided negative feedback using the thumbs-down button. Now, Co-Pilot can understand when an employee needs to connect with someone in HR and then help them do so.

To support this improvement, Co-Pilot now recognizes when an employee enters something like “talk to a person” or “I need to talk to my HR rep” after not getting an appropriate answer to their question. Co-Pilot handles this kind of request differently depending on whether your organization uses HR Service Delivery:

  • If your organization uses HR Service Delivery and the employee has access to the Create a Case feature, Co-Pilot recommends the employee to create a case and provides a link to the feature.
  • If the employee doesn’t have access to Create a Case, Co-Pilot shows the message that your administrator configured.

If an employee starts a conversation by asking to speak with a person in the first message, Co-Pilot prompts them to try asking a question to encourage them to find a self-service answer first. If the employee asks for help from a person after the first message, Co-Pilot provides the responses described above.

Important: If your organization doesn’t use HR Service Delivery, you should configure the message that Co-Pilot shows to help employees find help. Administrators can configure the message in Dayforce Co-Pilot Admin, in the Messages tab. See “Configure Co-Pilot’s Response for Negative Feedback” in the Dayforce Co-Pilot Guide. If you don’t have a message configured, Co-Pilot provides a generic response explaining that it doesn’t have access to contact details.

Added the ability to customize the legal disclaimer for Co-Pilot. By default, Co-Pilot shows a generic disclaimer to inform employees that responses might not be specific to their terms of employment. The disclaimer also advises employees to refer to company policies or their contract to confirm the information provided. Now, you can customize the text of the disclaimer and add links to relevant resources.

To support this functionality, a new Disclaimers tab was added in Dayforce Co-Pilot Admin. In this tab, an administrator can add a disclaimer for each culture that's enabled in your Dayforce environment. The list of disclaimers shows you which culture is the default for your organization. If an employee is using Dayforce in a culture that doesn’t have a disclaimer configured, they see the disclaimer for the default culture. The default culture is configured in Site Setup > Client, in the Cultures tab.

A good disclaimer clearly states what Co-Pilot can and can’t do, recommends that users verify important information, and provides links for these details. For example, “Content might not be specific to your terms of employment. Confirm by checking your company's policies or applicable contracts.” If you don't customize the disclaimer, Co-Pilot shows a generic disclaimer by default.

DCP-4894

Added the ability to choose whether Co-Pilot includes or excludes Dayforce guide content when it generates responses. Previously, Co-Pilot always used Dayforce guide content, and the responses could include information from the guides about features that your organization doesn't use.

To support this functionality, a new Content Settings tab was added in Dayforce Co-Pilot Admin. The new tab contains the Use Dayforce user guides switch. With the switch set to on, Co-Pilot uses Dayforce guide content when it generates responses to employee questions. The responses might include information about features or functionality that your organization doesn't use.

With the switch set to off, Co-Pilot doesn't use Dayforce user guide content when it generates responses to employee questions.
