GPTCI-49155 Fixed an issue that could occur when an employee's paycheck included a bonus earning code and the value of the total earnings was negative. In this case, Dayforce continued to deduct EI and CPP from the negative earnings. Now, when the value of the total earnings is negative, Dayforce won't deduct EI and other statutory deductions from the paycheck, as expected. In addition, a validation error is shown in the pay run's Problems panel. | |
GPTCI-50646 Updated how pay deductions are calculated for Canadian employees who work remotely. Remote employees are configured as “virtual” employees in their HR profile in People. See Virtual Checkbox for Canadian Employees in the Dayforce Implementation Guide. Workers Compensation Tax Changes Updated workers compensation in Dayforce so that the location of the primary residence always determines the workers compensation rates and limits for Canadian employees who work remotely. Primary residence is used for remote employees even when a work location override is configured. Provincial and Employee Health Tax Changes Added a new client property to the Payroll section of the Properties tab in System Admin > Client Properties. When you select the new property, Calculate Canada Provincial and Health Tax for Virtual EE's using Work Location Only, Dayforce calculates the provincial and health taxes based on the work location of Canadian employees who work remotely. However, when you configure the employee's HR profile with a work location override, the provincial and health taxes are calculated based on the override location. |
