Dayforce Release Notes version 2024.2.1

Version
R2024.2.1

HR-28412, GGIE-202

Made several updates and improvements to the My Team widget in Hub Designer and Hub.

Hub Designer

Added the ability to configure the three current employee statuses that are shown in the widget. Also, two new statuses were added:

  • Birthday: (new) Shows the countdown for employees birthdays starting at seven days before the birthday date. Uses the format: “Birthday is coming in X days”, “Birthday starts tomorrow”, “Birthday Today”.
  • Pending Actions: Selected by default, but you can clear the checkbox.
  • Preferred pronoun: (new) Shows the employee’s preferred pronouns, if specified. Requires the Allow employees to identify their pronouns client property to be configured.
  • Time Away from Work: Selected by default, but you can clear the checkbox.
  • Work anniversary: Selected by default, but you can clear the checkbox.

Hub

  • Changed the Pending Requests heading to Key Updates.
  • Updated the order that direct reports are shown as follows:
    1. Employees with an upcoming or ongoing TAFW, work anniversary, birthday, or pending action are listed alphabetically.
    2. Employees that have no pending actions are listed alphabetically.
  • Added a scroll bar that opens when you click Show More, so you can scroll through an expanded list when it contains more direct reports than fit in the maximum height of the expanded widget.
  • Increased the maximum number of direct reports with pending actions that show in the widget to 200. If there are more than 200 direct reports, you must review them in Message Center.
  • Increased the maximum number of direct reports with no pending actions that show in the widget to 200. If there are more than 200 direct reports, you must review them in the People List.
  • Updated the logic of employees work anniversaries to first look at the customer's client property setting for the Length of service date. If the setting isn’t configured, then the existing logic is used to calculate the work anniversary. This aligns with the rest of the areas of Dayforce where employees' length of service is shown.
  • Changed the wording for new hires to “Starting in X days” from "0 year work anniversary”.

Added the Dayforce Wallet widget to Experience Hub so that employees who use Dayforce Wallet can conveniently view and request their available pay on demand in Dayforce.

After administrators add the web-only widget in Hub Designer, it serves as a tailored experience that reflects each employee’s eligibility and registration status.

Role Feature Access:

  • Application Container > People > Employee Profile > Employment > Employment Settings > Dayforce Wallet > Eligible for Dayforce Wallet
  • Application Container > People > Employee Profile > Employment > Employment Settings > Dayforce Wallet > Eligible for On-Demand Pay

Note: The Dayforce Wallet widget is currently only available for employees in the United States.

About Dayforce Wallet

Dayforce Wallet lets you access your wages by loading earned pay onto your Dayforce Prepaid Mastercard (Dayforce Card). You can use the app to transfer funds to your Dayforce Card, then use your Dayforce Card to make in-person and online purchases.

When using the Dayforce Wallet mobile app, you can also transfer funds to other accounts, and locate nearby ATMs to make cash withdrawals. The Dayforce Wallet app offers the following options, which can vary based on how your account is set up:

  • Dayforce Card and On-Demand Pay: The Dayforce Wallet app can be used to configure direct deposit rules for receiving all or some of the employee’s regular pay on their Dayforce Card. Also, employees can make on-demand pay requests if this feature is configured by their employer.
  • Dayforce Card only: The Dayforce Wallet app can be used to configure direct deposit rules for receiving all or some of the employee’s regular pay on their Dayforce Card. This option is available on its own if employees don't have the on-demand pay feature configured by their employer.

Dayforce Wallet Widget

If employees have already downloaded and registered for a Dayforce Wallet account, the widget opens Dayforce Wallet. Otherwise, if employees aren’t registered, they're shown a QR code which guides them to the Dayforce Wallet mobile app to complete registration.
