Before You Begin: HR Service Delivery is available for Advanced Experience Hub customers only.

The HR Cases feature is now available in the Dayforce Mobile app for employees. To support this update, the following features are available:

  • HR Cases > Create a Case: Connect with Human Resources personnel if you have questions that require assistance from an HR team member. With this feature, you can create a case to get help from an HR team member, and check the status of your request.
  • HR Cases > My Cases: View and manage the cases that you created.

Note: You need minimum version 2024.6.0 for the Dayforce mobile app and version 2024.2.1 for Dayforce web to use HR Cases in the mobile app.

Cases with Attachments

When employees attach files to cases in the mobile app they can browse the device’s photo library, take a photo, or select files. Also, they can select and upload multiple files at once.

Supported file types are the same as Dayforce web:

  • Documents: PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, CSV, MSG, TXT, ZIP
  • Images: JPG, PNG, GIF
    Note: Currently, in the Android mobile app employees can’t attach CSV or MSG files to cases, but they can download them.

Some additional information about file attachments:

  • All file types can be downloaded from a case.
  • PDF, DOC, DOCX can be previewed. DOC and DOCX are previewed as a PDF.
  • All supported image files (JPG, PNG, GIF) can be previewed.
  • When employees tap the preview menu on an attached file, they can either download or preview the file in a separate browser if the preview option is available.
  • Files are downloaded to the Downloads folder in Android devices. On iOS devices, you select where to download.
  • The app converts HEIC to JPG when employees take a photo on their iOS device.
  • The app downsizes JPG and PNG images to meet the 2 MB limit, while maintaining the aspect ratio.

Error messages show for the same reasons as Dayforce web:

  • The file fails the security scan.
  • The file type isn’t supported.
  • You try to add more than 10 files at a time.
  • A file is larger than 2 MB.

Push Notifications

Push notifications for HR Cases are now available in the mobile app. If push notifications are enabled on your device, the app notifies you when you have a message for your case. When you tap the notification, the app takes you to the case in HR Cases. Notification messages are sent to Message Center and email. If employees don’t have the Dayforce mobile app installed, they are prompted to install the app when they tap the email notification link.
