Peer mentors are employees who are at the same level and who have similar skills and goals. To support this functionality, the Mentorship section was added to the Career Explorer home page. In this section, employees can find, review, and connect with matches from across the organization. Before finding a match, Career Explorer asks employees to consent to sharing their skill details with their matches. If needed, they can review and adjust their selected sharing preferences in the Preferences section of the Career Explorer home page. After employees consent, Career Explorer matches them with a peer and shows them details, including their peer’s skills, location, and mentorship status. The mentor details screen also suggests topics for the employee to discuss with their mentor. When the employee is ready to connect, they can click Send a message to email their mentor directly from the mentor details screen. Employees can return to the details screen at any time by clicking the mentor’s card in the Mentorship section of the Career Explorer home page. If Career Explorer can’t find a mentor, employees are given the chance to invite people to join the mentorship program. They can send an invitation or wait for peers to join on their own. When a mentorship match is available, Career Explorer sends a notification to both the employee and the mentor, and shows the match on the Career Explorer home page. Role Feature Access: Careers > Career Explorer > Mentorship Notifications for Mentorship As part of this update, several notifications were added in System Admin > System Notifications. These notifications are enabled by default and don’t rely on subscriptions. Instead, Career Explorer determines recipients automatically based on activity in Dayforce.
