Dayforce Release Notes version 2024.2.0

Version
R2024.2.0
Release Date
8/13/2024
Timesheets
ID Description
APJ-2854

Added the ability to show overtime data as a segment in Timesheets. Previously, when there were both a schedule and an overtime input, split records were created. Now, instead of splitting the data, Dayforce creates a segment that includes the overtime data.

ETM-90

Added the ability to mass resolve exceptions in Timesheets. To support this functionality, the Resolve Mass Exception option was added to the Mass Action slide-out panel.

Role feature access: Timesheets > Mass Action > Resolve Mass Exception

When you select Resolve Mass Exception in the Mass Action slide-out panel and click Next, you can mass resolve tardy and missing time entry issues. When you apply this functionality, Dayforce resolves missing time entries by applying the scheduled times of meals, breaks, as well as shift start and end times to the shift, as necessary. For tardies, Dayforce applies the default resolution codes that were set up for exception pay codes.

See Mass Action in the Manager Guide.

Added an informational message in the Pay panel in timesheet features to indicate how Dayforce rounds decimal values:

Message indicating that values are rounded based on the Display Time Decimal Precision setting.

This message is shown in the following features:

  • Employee Timesheet
  • Manager Timesheet
  • Time Review
  • Timesheets
  • Work > Timesheet

The Display Time Decimal Precision setting that the message refers to is available in System Admin > Client Properties in the Properties tab, in the General section.

See the following topics in the Dayforce Implementation Guide:

  • System Admin > Client Properties
  • Pay Rounding

Updated Timesheets to show a Loading indicator when you click:

  • Tracer in the toolstrip.
  • Recalculate in the Analyze Pay Rules slide-out panel.
WCI-48232

Updated how Dayforce adds scheduled, unworked shifts to the grid in Timesheets. Previously, when you added an unworked shift and removed the shift end time, the application didn’t persist your changes. Instead, the application mistakenly added the shift end time as a time entry on the right side of the cell in the timesheets grid:

Timesheet cell with the shift end time highlighted on the right.

Now, when you click Add Shift to Schedule and you remove the shift end time in the dialog box, the application doesn’t populate the timesheet cell with the removed time entry:

Timesheet cell with the shift end time missing on the right.
