Self-Service Forms
ID Description
HR-18959

Updated the Position Change form so that the Effective To field is inactive when the Primary Position? checkbox is selected. Previously, you could enter an effective to date even though primary positions in Dayforce can’t have an end date. Now, the configuration on the form matches the functionality for end dating primary positions in the rest of Dayforce.

If the employee has a future primary assignment or termination, the primary position assigned in the form is automatically end dated before the future one starts.

HR-20586

Added the ability to use new hire and rehire forms to assign an employee as an interim occupant for a position. To support this functionality, a new Interim Position? checkbox was added to the following forms:

  • New Hire (Position Management)
  • New Hire with Contract (Position Management)
  • Rehire (Position Management)
  • Rehire with Contract (Position Management)
  • Return to Work (Position Management)

Select the checkbox to assign the employee as an interim occupant. With the checkbox cleared, the employee is assigned as the primary occupant of the position.

Note: There is a known issue where the new Interim Position? checkbox doesn’t work correctly if the employee has a pre-start status. As a result, you can’t use the Interim Position? checkbox on a form if the hire date is in the future.
