Schedule Setup
ID Description
WCI-42027

Added a validation in Scheduling Plan > Shift Setup in the Shift Rotation tab to ensure that users configure shift labor appropriately. Previously, when you expanded a shift rotation record, you could configure different shift labor records in the Shift Rotation Details and Shift Rotation Segment Details sections. Now, when you attempt to configure different shift labor records, Dayforce triggers an error and you can’t save your changes until you select the same shift labor record in both fields:

Shift Rotation tab with problems shown in the Problems panel.

See Configure Shift Rotations in the Dayforce Implementation Guide.

Added the Return to trade option in Schedule Setup > Shift Trading Policy. You must select the Allow cancellation of trades and Require supervisor approval checkboxes to activate the Return to trade checkbox.

Return to trade is useful when an employee wants to cancel a shift trade after the manager’s approval. Instead of the shift returning to an original employee, the Return to trade setting makes it available for all eligible employees to accept. This reduces the chances of missed shifts in case of canceled trades.

See The Shift Trading Policy Sub-Feature in the Dayforce Implementation Guide.
