Job Step Rate Progression
ID Description
PSCI-716

Updated Dayforce to support past-dated changes to an employee’s status record in People that might affect their job rates. Now, when the following conditions are met, Dayforce updates the employee’s status record to reflect past-dated job rate changes:

  • You add or update a past-dated employment status record in People in the Employment > Employment Settings screen.
  • You run the Job Step Rate Recalc background job.
  • You have job rate changes.

If the update warrants a new past-dated, non-effective employment status record, Dayforce adds the record in the Employee Status tab. Dayforce marks the record in the Reason column with the Job Step Rate Progression reason. If rate changes affect existing status records, Dayforce also marks these records with the Job Step Rate Progression reason.

With this updated functionality, you can:

  • Add an employment status record with rate changes in the past.
  • Update an employment status record with rate changes in the past, with the same effective start date.
  • Add employment status records with rate changes in the future for terminated or inactive employees.
