Dashboards

Added the ability to restrict users to view-only access for dashboards in the Dashboards Pro tab in Reporting and Analytics > Reporting and Analytics Home. To support this update, the Dashboard Pro Builder role feature was added in the Features tab in System Admin > Roles. This role feature enables users to create, edit, delete import, export and share dashboards.

With view-only access, team members can stay informed without altering any data. Users that currently have the Application Container > Analyze Reports in PowerBI role feature enabled will have the Application Container > Analyze Reports in PowerBI > Dashboard Pro Builder role feature enabled automatically with this update. To grant view-only access, you can clear the Dashboard Pro Builder checkbox for those users.

Updated the Save button in Dashboards Pro to be enabled or disabled based on changes made to the dashboard. Now, after a user saves changes, the Save button is disabled. If further changes are made, the Save button becomes enabled again.

Added an error message that can appear in the DAX Editor in Dashboards Pro. Now, if an API call fails when a user deletes, saves, or validates a DAX expression, Dayforce will show an error message.

Updated Dashboards Pro to show a Dashboards Pro label on the right side of the screen when you are in edit mode for a dashboard.

Added the ability to create and edit Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) in your local language. To support this update, the Data tab in the DAX editor now shows tables, columns, and measures in the language of your culture setting in Dayforce. Further, you can filter the list of columns in the Data tab either by the names in your local language or by their underlying column names.

Added an error message that shows when a user runs a dashboard in Reporting and Analytics > Reporting > Reports and does not have access authorization to view certain fields in the dashboard. The message shows the names of the fields that the user doesn't have access to view.

Added the ability to import and export custom dashboards with Data Analysis Expressions (DAX). Now, when you export a custom dashboard that contains DAX expressions, the file will be in DPRO format and include the associated DAX data. You can also import dashboards in this format.
