Self-Service Forms
ID Description

AOM-977

Added a new property to forms that use the position selector, which enables you to include positions that have a vacancy date earlier than the context date when it is enabled. The property should be set to true for the position selector to show positions with an expected vacancy date:

<IncludePositionsWithExpectedVacancyDate> True </IncludePositionsWithExpectedVacancyDate>

This tag must be added to forms and isn't included in any forms by default.

Made updates in Position Management forms so that managers can open requisitions only for positions within their span of control. To support this functionality, the Position drop-down list in forms now respects the following Position Management access authorizations:

  • Position Management - Positions - Administrator View: Administrators with this access authorization can see all positions in forms except for their own position and those below them in the organization hierarchy.
  • Position Management - Positions - Manager View: Managers with this access authorization can see their own position and positions under theirs in the hierarchy.

Previously, these access authorizations didn't apply to the position selector in forms and users could see all positions in the organization hierarchy. Users need at least Read permissions to one or both of these access authorizations to see any positions in forms.

This change applies to the following forms:

  • New Hire (Position Management)
  • New Hire with Contract (Position Management)
  • Rehire (Position Management)
  • Rehire with Contract (Position Management)
  • Return to Work (Position Management)
  • Job Requisition (Position Management)
  • Candidate Hire (Position Management)
  • Any custom forms built using these forms

This update does not apply to the Position Change form. All users have access to all positions in that form.

Important: Users must have at least Read access for one of the access authorizations listed above to select a position in forms. If they don't have any Position Management access authorizations, the Position drop-down list will be empty.
