Development Plans

Added the ability to manage performance development plans from the Development Plans feature. Previously, you had to manage development plans that were created in Performance from within the Performance feature. Now, these plans have been migrated to the generic Development Plans feature, so you can view and manage all of your Dayforce development plans in one place.

The following changes were made as part of this update:

• In Performance, updated the look and feel of the dialog box that’s shown when you add a new development plan from a performance review form.
• For more information, see “Create Development Plans in Performance” in the Performance Guide.
• In Performance, removed the Development Plans tab and the Development Plans section of the Overview tab. Users can navigate to the Development Plans feature to view and manage their full list of plans.
• For more information, see “Development Plans” in the Employee Guide and “Development Plan Management” in the Manager Guide.
• In Performance, removed the conversations functionality for development plans.
• Removed the Performance Setup > Development Plan Setup feature. Administrators can now configure plan details and purposes for all types of development plans from the Development Plan Setup feature. When you update to this release, all settings from the Performance Setup > Development Plan Setup features are automatically applied to the generic Development Plan Setup feature.

• In the Features tab of System Admin > Roles:
  • Added the Performance > Reviews > Add Development Plans role feature.
  • Removed the Performance > Development Plans and Performance Setup > Development Plan Setup role features.
• When you update to this release, users who were assigned the removed role features are automatically assigned new role features that provide the same access in Development Plans and Development Plan Setup.

• In Reporting and Analytics > Reporting > Reports:
  • Updated the Employee Development Plans and Activities report to include development plans that were created in Performance. Also, added the Employee Number field to this report to ensure consistency with previous reporting functionality for Performance.
  • Removed the Performance-based Employee Development Plans report and the Performance > Development Plans category. Custom reports based on the deprecated Performance report or category entities will no longer return results.

Important: When you update to this release, it can take up to six hours for the development plan migration to be completed.
