Enhanced the Position Change form to ensure that all of an employee's current and future work assignments are listed in the correct order. Now their primary assignment is at the top and their secondary assignments are listed with the most recent effective from date at the top (descending order). Also updated the form validation to prevent a new position assignment from sharing the same start date with an existing position or job work assignment.

Added the ability to change an employee's primary position assignment using self-service forms in Edit mode, so that you can update their assignments through a workflow approval process.

The form must have the following:

  • The used class for the employee work assignment.
  • The must be in edit mode in its Properties tab in Workflow Administration > Form Builder.
  • The XML Form Type field in the Advanced tab of Workflow Administration > Form Builder must be set to PosMgmtXMLForm.

Forms in New mode still let you add a primary position assignment.

Improved the way Dayforce handles work assignment records when an employee is terminated by using the Terminate an Employee form. When the Remove future employee employment status and employee work assignments that exist after termination client property is selected and the termination date hasn't happened yet, future status and work assignment records are removed when they are no longer relevant to the terminated employee record.
