ID Description

Made several updates and improvements to the Pending Actions widget, including:

  • Added column headings: Date, Submitter, and Affected Employee to provide more information for end users. If the widget is placed in a small column layout, the widget only shows the Affected Employee heading.
  • Added the Submitter column to show who submitted the form, and to be consistent with the name that shows for action forms in Message Center.
  • Added a scrollbar that shows when you click Show More and there are more pending actions than what fits in the maximum height of the expanded widget.
  • Increased the maximum number of pending actions that show in the widget from 10 to 500. If there are more than 500 pending actions, you must review them in Message Center.
  • Adjusted the widget height slightly in conjunction with adding a scrollbar. As a result, the number of pending actions displayed may be different than it was previously.
  • Gave administrators the option to remove the ability for end users to action forms without opening them.

Added a new widget for employees who use Dayforce’s self-service clock to enter their worked time. To support this update, the Time Clock widget was added in Hub Setup > Hub Designer in the Hubs tab.

Important: As a prerequisite for using the Time Clock widget, users also require role access to the Work > Time Clock sub-feature.

The Time Clock widget shows information such as the current date and time, the user’s punch status, and the date and time of their last punch. Additionally, the widget contains a context-sensitive option to submit punches:

In the example screenshot above, the user hasn’t submitted a punch to start their shift, so the widget contains the Start Shift option. After the employee starts their shift, this option might change to End Shift or Start Meal to reflect the next available punch option.

Further, after submitting a punch, the widget shows a validation message to indicate whether the punch was accepted or rejected. If a punch is rejected, the message indicates the reason for the rejection, such as no scheduled shift found or an invalid location.

To view additional punch options, you can click More Actions and Dayforce redirects you to Work > Time Clock. The punch options shown in Work > Time Clock depend on how your instance of Dayforce is configured.
